Special Initiatives: HIVQUAL Software

The Project offers, at no cost, HIVQUAL software designed to monitor clinical care. This software provides a system to monitor clinical performance based on clinical practice guidelines developed by the New York State Department of Health AIDS Institute and its expert advisory committee.

HIVQUAL has the capacity to easily import and export data. HIVQUAL is not a clinical tracking program for all patients in the clinic.

HIVQUAL offers a simple vehicle for the rapid generation of reports that monitor clinical performance for those patients who have been entered into the database. It will also analyze data for different subpopulation groups, including gender, race/ethnicity, and exposure categories, age, viral load, CD4 count and clinic site. Specific features also include randomized sampling of patients in the database for generation of quality reports.
